IBEW System Council No. 11 and Canadian Pacific Railway are pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative three-year deal.
IBEW Senior General Chairman Steve Martin expressed that negotiations were difficult but in the end we have reached a good deal for our membership and we’re looking forward to building on the momentum of the last few days.
“The IBEW would also like to recognize Minister of Employent, Workforce Development and Labour, Patty Hajdu, and Federal Mediator, Peter Simpson from FMCS, for coming to Calgary and working with all sides in order to find a fair deal” said Martin.
CP CEO Keith Creel thanked the IBEW bargaining committee for their hard work and their creativity. “We have come through a number of challenging years to become an operational leader. I look forward to working with this union to become the employer of choice.”
The tentative agreement ensures that IBEW employees remain on the job and passenger operations are not impacted.
